Emran and Himesh at cold war

Former friends Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya can barely see eye-to-eye any more. Apparently, Emraan is miffed with the singer for having copied his wardrobe, and of trying to hog footage in Emraan's films' songs.
Himesh has previously lent his nasal voice to Emraan's characters in Ashique Banaya Aapne, Aksar and Dil Diya Hai. But perhaps what matters more to Emraan is that Himesh tried to copy his style (if we may call it that). A source says, "The problem goes back to their Ashique Banaya Aapne days when Himesh featured in all the songs from the film. Emraan got further irritated because the singer wore jackets that Emraan feels are his trademark. Plus, like the rest of the world, Emraan echoes the fact that Himesh has become repetitive."
Emraan's anger found vent in various ways. Not only did he not let Himesh be part of The Train, he also refused to do a cameo in Himesh's Aap Ka Suroor. A source says, "When Emraan found out that Shyam Bajaj of The Train had approached Himesh to direct the music for his film, he issued an ultimatum to the producer saying that he wouldn't work in the film if Himesh was roped in. To appease the actor, Mithun was asked to do the music."
Producer Shyam Bajaj says, "I did approach Himesh for composing the music for my film, The Train. Himesh is like family to me and we have worked together many times before." When we asked him as to why Himesh is not part of this particular project, Bajaj disconnected after saying, "Can I call you back in some time?" Needless to say, he did not call back.
Himesh echoed the 'like family' phrase too when asked about Shyam Bajaj. "I was approached by Shyamji for The Train. He is like my family. The first song of my career was for Shyamji's film. And ever since 'Bandhan' I have done all their films." However, he didn't seem to have an answer about his conspicuous exclusion from The Train. "I couldn't do this film," was all he said.
