Who is not aware of the love story that went on for years between the beautiful Nargis and the talented Raj kapoor? He first met her when he signed her for his movie 'Aag'. And after that, the Raj Kapoor-Nargis association lasted for years and they did about 17 films together, most of them hits. She became Raj Kapoor”s ‘Lady In White’, his inspiration, while doing some of her best films with him. And there is no doubt, they were and always will be the main leading pair in Bollywood history
Madhubala and Dilip Kumar's 'amar prem kahani' has been engraved in our minds and hearts with the beautifully tragedic 'Mughal-e-Azam' in which they won our hearts by portraying the roles of Anar Kali, a courtesan in Akbar's court who dares to commit the worst crime of all, by falling in love with Akbar's son, the next to be mughal, Salim. One could feel not only the chemistry between the two, but also the heartbreak Madhubala went through when Dilip Kumar rejected her after this movie.
We are all aware of the on-going rumors that Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha were having a sizzling love affair. The sparks amongst the two flew instantly on the set of their first movie 'Do Ajnaane'. Movies such as Khoon Pasina, Ganga Ki Saugandh, Suhaag, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Ram Balram and Mr. Natwarlal were all super hit because they were both paired together. The viewers wanted more of this couple but alas, Yash Chopra's 'Silsila' was their last movie together and Amitabh never looked back once he got together with Jaya Bahuduri.
Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor have appeared in alot of movies together. Their perfomances in 'Ram Lakhan', 'Beta', 'Parina', 'Tehzaab', 'Kishen Kanhaiya', 'Jamai Raja', 'Khel' were praised and they were the new it-couple. But it was the 'Dhak dhak karne laga' number where Madhuri is sensually singing and dancing along with Anil Kapoor that won our heart in the 90s'. Although, these two created tremendous comedic, romantic, sad love stories together on screen, off screen they were only good friends.
The duo first appeared in the super hit movie 'Baazigar' in which although they did not end up together at the end of the movie, they did create amazing chemistry with one another. Bollywood's 'it-couple' appeared in movies such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota hai,Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham and kept winning the audience's hearts with their amazing chemistry over and over again. Although the pair were the hottest reel couple, there was no such thing as true love between them in real life. They are good friends and remain to be so.
Rumors, family friendships and of course the sizzling on screen chemistry of Rani and Abhishek had fans praying everywhere for a wedding announcement! But at the end of the day, no such truth was unveiled. Even though both had seemed to enjoy each other's company more than any other co-stars, the success of Yuva and Bunty Aur Babli just added to saga. Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor started their big bollywood debut together in the cute college love story 'Ishq Vishq'. Nobody could deny that they looked cute together as on-screen couple and that is the reason why they appeared together in three movies, one of them being a super box-office hit 'Vivaah'. On-screen their love seem undeniable, however one finds it hard to believe these two are barely friends off screen. While Amrita Rao is busy constructing her bollywood career, Shahid Kapoor is in committed relationship to his long time girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor.
Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar were first seen together in 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye' where they looked hot as a couple. People loved the fact that Akshay was actually tall enough for her and the chemistry was undeniable.
