Ash irritated Hrithik on Jodhaa Akbar sets
A unit source revealed, “A clear sense of aloofness was noticeable between Hrithik and Aishwarya post her wedding in mid – April for which her Dhoom 2 co-star was not invited all thanks reportedly to their controversial kiss in the film. Trouble started erupting between them when Ash’s visitors started accompanying her on the sets. Ashutosh Gowariker had given clear instructions to everyone involved with the film that guests won’t be allowed on the sets. But Aishwarya flouted this rule and got in guests regularly post her wedding and spent her good amount of time attending to them playing the perfect Bachchan bahu.”
While Gowariker maintained his cool, apparently it was the perfectionist Hrithik who got irked after a point of time. The source continues, “Ash had started spending more times in her vanity van with her guests and he had to wait for her to come for the shots. Yet he kept quiet for sometime. Once when for a scene Ash was required to stand behind the camera and give dialogue cues to Hrithik, she initially showed reluctance and later on agreed but not before taking a good one hour to come for the take. She was not even required to don her make up so what was taking her so long wondered an astonished Hrithik then. Finally, she made her entry only to be greeted with a cold stare by Hrithik. She had that time also got her guest along with her inside the set where the shot was being canned. This had not happened with anyone on Jodhaa Akbar’s sets before but since she had introduced this particular guest as a family member, no one dared to complain,” the source continues.
“As the shot began and whenever the light eyed actor started speaking his lines, Ash started gesturing to her assistants and even the spot boys to make sure her guest was comfortable. Hrithik got distracted by this and ended up messing his lines for sometime. But somehow he managed to get right! At the end of it though he was seething with anger and was almost on the verge of going up to her and asking what her actual motive was on that day of the shoot? He kept his cool and left off the sets after he was done,” the source adds.
The buzz on the sets that day was Ash’s odd behaviour was her way of getting back at Hrithik for his cold shoulder to her. But Hrithik did get back at her in his own way by never once asking her to join him in his chopper ride then on to the Karjat studios from Mumbai and back. He gave lifts to Ashutosh Gowariker and sometimes even his assistants but never to Ash though she stayed a few minutes away from the Juhu aerodrome.
PS: This cold appeared to have ended (at least for onlookers) when hubby Abhishek joined Ash at the film shoot completion party and all looked like having a blast together.
