When she made her entry in Bollywood, she was dating model Ranjeev Mulchandani.But things turned sour when Ranjeev started developing interested in Manisha Koirala. Ash and Ranjeev split up. Manisha went on bashing Ash publicly and there was a Ash - Manisha war in the press. this was year 94.
Later on Ash went on to date the hearthrob Salman Khan. This was year 1998 during the making of the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. They broke up in 2000. The reasons are not clear but Ash's parents disappoved of Salman. Also Salman had tuned voilent against the Rai babe. She was seen with a bruised face one day and the media was filled with reports of Salman having done it.

According to sources, close to Ash, her family — especially her mother — never warmed to Viveik. And when the actor publicly confessed his love for Ash — to a news channel and on Koffee with Karan — the Rais weren’t too pleased.
Another cause of the split was the dreaded S-word — shaadi. The Rais were getting impatient, but Vivek (29), who’s younger than Ash (32), wanted to concentrate solely on his career. In the end, there were too many issues and no solution in sight. The couple took a mutual decision to separate.
But who cares.. she is now getting married to the most eligible bachelor in bollywood.
