The Original : In Pursuit of Happyness, Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a salesman who wants to become a stockbroker in order to earn enough money for himself, his wife and son. But there is a minor hitch.

He has to work six months without a stipend. As he sets out on this arduous journey, even his wife leaves him and he finds himself living on the streets. A tear-jerker and Will Smith's film through and through!

The Bollywood take : Karan Johar should direct the film with SRK playing the role of Will Smith. Only his wife, Rani Mukerji will die mid-way as good Bollywood wives do not desert their husbands (K-Jo has already learnt the box office lesson i

Her rich parents try to take custody of the child through illegal means then they give up and move the court. The court gives SRK six months to prove himself or he will never see his son again...

The Original : License to wed. Reverend Frank (Robin Williams) is a pastor who conducts a pre-wedding preparatory course. And when a couple enlists for the course they must follow his rules to the last detail.

Given his absurd rules Mandy Moore (Sadie Jones) and John Krasinski (Ben Murphy) are convinced he wants them to split up. And till the end the audience is kept guessing about his intentions...

The Bollywood take : This one is straight for Aditya Chopra. Amitabh Bachchan will play the family priest who decides after meeting the couple whether they should wed or not. The young couple will be played by Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.

Ash is an orphan and Abhishek's rich parents have blind faith in Amitabh Bachchan. In case they displease Amitabh their romance is doomed. Now the young couple plan to outwit and expose him...

The Original : Lions for Lambs is a 2007 film about a platoon of United States soldiers in Afghanistan, a US senator (Tom Cruise), a reporter (Meryl Streep), and a California college professor (Redford).

With a title that alludes to incompetent leaders sending brave soldiers into the slaughter of battle, the film takes aim at the US government's prosecution of the wars in the Middle East.

The Bollywood take: Only someone like JP Dutta could handle the subject in Bollywood, considering he has already mastered the art of directing two war films- Border and LOC.

Tom Cruise's role could be played by Kabir Bedi while Preity Zinta could do a fantastic job of a reporter a la Meryl Streep. As for the two soldiers, Akshaye Khanna and Ajay Devgan would be just right.

They would be inspired by their idealistic professor, Amitabh Bachchan and take the bold decision to enlist themselves in the Indian Army to join the war against Pakistan... What happens next should be best witnessed on the Warfield...

The Original : In Ocean's 13 the rat pack from the first two parts reunites to bail out an old friend. This time they take on the mighty Casino owner (Al Pacino) and plan a heist on the opening night of his newest hotel.

There is lot more high tech gadgetry and George Clooney manages to bring Pacino on his knees by the end of it.

The Bollywood take : The film makes a perfect recipe for Dhoom 3. Hrithik could assemble the gang from the both the films to help good old John Abraham who loses all his cash in a drag race.

SRK could be the smooth talking super smart biker while Uday Chopra and Abhishek also drop the uniform and join Hrithik to take on an old enemy. A good excuse for a multi-starrer with lots of action!

The Original : The Heartbreak Kid – Eddie (Ben Stiller) is a sports shop owner who is unsure about marrying Lila (Malin Akerman). After much persuasion when he says 'I do' he realises he's said it to the wrong woman altogether!

A he fall for someone else while he’s on his honeymoon and goes all out to have her in his life.

The Bollywood take : Here's another one for David Dhawan to get inspired from after Hitch. Needless to say, this one can star Govinda (he's back in business after all) and can follow the story of the original frame by frame.

Of course after being sued Dhawan can give out publicity interviews saying how he never even heard of The Heartbreak Kid.
