Eps 7 & 8 of Vincenzo preface a budding romance between Song Joong Ki & Jeon Yeo Bin as they grow closer
In the latest episodes of Vincenzo, Song Joong Ki is a Prince on a white horse as he goes on a date but it's not with who you think.
In this week's episodes of Vincenzo, our central couple comes closer together in adversity. After bringing in Vincenzo as a surprise witness, the tables are turned in Hong Cha Young's favour as the judge is coerced into listening to the full argument, giving up his bias. Rather, he is forced to give it up when in another twist, Hong Cha Young calls Dr. Gil Jong Moon's wife to the stand. Not only has he been medically deceptive but has been cheating on his wife too. Befriending the enemy's enemy, Hong Cha Young and Vincenzo bring out the truth about BLSD, the carcinogenic drug that was leaked owing to malpractice and neglect, taking countless lives and putting more in danger. Not only this, it was also implied that methamphetamine was injected into Lee U Yeong's bloodstream by Dr. Gil himself.
Having lost consecutively, Jang Joon Woo is furious and takes it out on Choi Myung Hee by locking her in a car and bashing it without any precaution whatsoever. She begs for another chance and is granted the same. Babel is implicated as being an evil corporation and Jang Han Seo takes the fall, apologizing in front of a press conference. At the same time, Vincenzo's mother is in critical condition because of which Hong Cha Young applies for a stay of execution and it is granted. In a cameo, Kim Sung Cheol plays Hwang Min Sung, the son of the sleazy CEO who assaulted Vincenzo's mother, framing her and putting her behind bars. He threatens her to prevent a retrial and proceeds to invest in Babel. Hong Cha Young is put behind bars but Vincenzo uses his Mafia ways to get her out in no time, which further solidifies her attachment to Vincenzo.
Choi Myung Hee now proceeds to iron out the final details of the contract but Hong Cha Young has a fool-proof plan already in motion. Vincenzo is to pose as Homme Fatale Tae Ho (in a smart reference to Space Sweepers) to seduce Min Sung and as it turns out, he's totally his type. It takes him just a minute and a white horse to get the job done and while Min Sung falls for him, Hong Cha Young does too, whether she admits it or not. The two go on the cutest amusement park date, all the while with Cha Young and Nam Joo Sung tailing the two. By the end of it all, following a lovers' quarrel, Vincenzo is able to convince him to not sign the contract for investing in Babel. Choi Myung Hee had already anticipated such a move and ushers in the Chairwoman to sign the contract instead.
However, this doesn't mean Vincenzo takes an L because he always has something up his sleeve. To punish the man who threatened his mother, he locks him in a room with his biggest fear, zombies. After a traumatic attack on him by the Geumga Plaza residents dressed as zombies, he begs Tae Ho to save him but by that time, the police have already arrived to arrest Min Sung for blackmail and so on and so forth. Vincenzo then reveals that he is in fact, not Tae Ho but rather the Vincenzo Cassano who got him arrested.
Myung Hee provokes Cha Young one last time by bringing up her father. Cha Young stops for a moment before gathering the reporters and announcing that she, Hong Yu Chan's daughter would bring Babel down. Episode 8 thus ends on a high note, with incredible anticipation for next week.
