Episode 2 of Penthouse season 2 brings more surprises; The ride continues with more twists and turns

If there’s one thing Penthouse absolutely nails, it’s that feeling of satisfaction when horrible characters get their comeuppance. This episode does help leave a bit of a breadcrumb trail over the events that occurred last season and what's to come this season.

Rising heat

With the arrival of Ha Yoon Cheol and Oh Yoon Hee, the temperatures have been on a constant high everywhere. Joo Seok Kyung still considers Oh Yoon Hee as her mother's murderer, Ha Eun Byeol is upset over her father's remarriage and the Joo-Cheon couple is amidst constant disputes. And with Ha Yoon Cheol and Oh Yoon Hee moving into Hera Palace, the situation does not seem to be cooling down.

Ha Yoon Cheol and Oh Yoon Hee

The couple seems to be together for mutual benefits. But that does not stop tiny sparks from flying between the former lovers. Ha Yoon Cheol has become more charismatic, especially after being revealed as the owner of the American company JohnBIO. He uses that to his advantage to rejoin Hera Club.

Yoo Jenny

In the first episode, we've seen Yoo Jenny secretly helping Bae Ro Na and then getting caught. This has put her in the blacklist of the popular kids in school. We see her being forced to eat a lot of greasy food and was told not to attend Cheon Seo Jin's 20th-anniversary concert with her mother.

Comic elements

All the tension among the residents of Hera Palace is beautifully balanced with quite a lot of comic elements. And all the credits go to the gossipers, Kang Ma Ri and Go Sang Ah, and the very corrupt assemblyman Lee Kyu Jin.

Cheon Seo Jin's vocal nodules

For a singer, the worst that could happen would be the growth of vocal nodules and Soprano Cheon Seo Jin is not an exception. Her continuous screaming might as well be one of the reasons for it. The doctor advises that she cancel her upcoming events and take a rest or she might have to undergo surgery and may not be able to sing anymore. The ever-proud Cheon Seo Jin refuses to pay heed to his advice and looks for a substitute whom we see being switched with Oh Yoon Hee during the actual performance. Has she been the latter all along?

With Yoon-Hee now fully healed, could we see her enter the operatic world again and challenge Seo-Jin’s throne? With all these questions, episode two has left us high and dry and craving for more.
