England vs Australia, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Match prediction
England and Australia will face-off against each other in what is expected to be a thrilling game
A big clash between two marquee teams with a number of match-winners makes it tough to predict the victors of the game between Australia and England in the World Cup 2019.
While England are coming into this game after a shock defeat to Sri Lanka, they are a superior side and can in no way be ruled out. Australia, on the other hand, have done well to win three successive games after their lone loss to India earlier in the tournament. They have been led by the duo of Aaron Finch and David Warner with the bat, while their bowling has relied on Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins.
England have a more dangerous batting unit, when compared to Australia. Other than Finch, Warner and Steven Smith, the Aussie batters have failed and if Jofra Archer can send the trio early, the Aussie attack will struggle.
However, their batting woes have been covered up with a potent seam attack. Cummins, Starc and Nathan Coulter-Nile have been a threat, but they will be up against the best batting line-up in the world. The English team has batters like Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, and any of them have the ability to nullify the threat of the Aussie fast bowlers.
It is a tough game to predict, but just because of their superior depth in the batting department, England are the favourites, but only slightly.
