Joe Root- This England all-rounder has been in a tremendous form in the tournament and will play a crucial role for the team. In the previous match against the Windies, Joe managed to score 100 not out in only 94 deliveries which made him the Player of the Match. He also bowled exceptionally well and picked up 2 crucial wickets for the team. In his 5 overs, he picked up 2 wickets with an economy of 5.40 dismissing the West Indian captain, Jason Holder. Against the Proteas, Joe managed to register a half century with a strike rate of 86.44.

Rashid Khan- Afghanistan has been struggling with its performance throughout the tournament. However, the one player who has the ability to change the team’s fate is Rashid Khan. This 20-year-old bowler has picked up 128 wickets in his 62 ODI games and is Afghanistan’s biggest asset in the tournament. Even though the Afghans crumbled against the Lankans in their second game of the tournament, Rashid managed to claim 2 wickets for the team. In his 7.5 overs, he picked up 2 wickets and gave away only 17 runs with an economy as low as 2.17.
