Ahn Hyo Seop and Jo Bo Ah in an office-based romance-comedy drama? Yes, please! On March 16, OSEN reported that Ahn Hyo Seop was offered male lead for the upcoming webtoon adaptation, The Office Blind Date. The actor is currently reviewing the offer, as confirmed by his agency Starhaus Entertainment. Previously, Jo Bo Ah of The Tale of a Gumiho fame was reported to have been offered the role of the female lead.
The Office Blind Date is a workplace romantic comedy story. It is about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO instead of a friend while hiding her identity. The story was first published by author Hae Hwa as a web novel in 2017, and it was produced into a webtoon in 2018. In August 2020, Kakao Page announced that they would be adapting the web novel and webtoon into a drama. If Jo Bo Ah accepts her role, she will be seen playing Shin Ha Ri, a regular office employee. When she goes on a blind date in place of her friend, she’s shocked to realize that her date is her company’s CEO. Details about Ahn Hyo Seop's role are not known yet.
The producing director of hit dramas like Suspicious Partners and Wok Of Love, Park Sun Ho is expected to helm the project. Currently, Ahn Hyo Seop is focusing on filming for his upcoming SBS drama Hong Chun Gi. The broadcast schedule and channel have yet to be decided.
