Zarine Khan: Happy With Comparisons With Katrina But See No Similarities
Fans just could not stop talking about Zarine Khan when she made her debut along side Salman Khan in Veer. Sadly, it was Zarine’s resemblance with the hero’s ex Katrina Kaif that dominated conversation. Her performance and even her chubby figure paled into insignificance as the audience speculated whether her introduction was a calculated snub aimed at Kat.
However, if Zarine is to be believed, she sees no resemblance between her and Katrina. Speaking to Times of India, Zarine said, “I feel very happy when I'm compared to Katrina. I'm a simple girl who's trying to make her presence felt at the box-office and comparisons like this are nothing but compliments. But, to tell you the truth, when I look in the mirror, I can't see the Katrina in me.”
Playing the lead role in Partner 2, Zarine said she was eager to work with her look-alike but pointed out, “But you should ask Katrina whether she wants to work with me or not...”
Talking about snide remarks about her weight, Zarine said she was unperturbed by issue. “Before my modelling days, I used to weigh more than 100 kilos and I had to really work hard to look like a model and lose weight. But for Veer, again I was asked to put on weight. So, I never took the criticism seriously”, she said
Well, one may believe that she is truly unperturbed about her weight but it is difficult to believe that she sees no similarities with Katrina when she looks into the mirror. Really Zarine?
