Why Tia Bajpai (HAUNTED 3D) was boycotted for Best Debut (Female) ?
While Nargis Fakhri (Rockstar) & Sarah Jane Dias (Game) have been nominated for Best Debut (Female) at all the award shows this year, I fail to understand why Tia Bajpai didn't bag a single nomination!
Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama wrote "Tia is absolutely excellent as the frightened victim. In fact, the actress is a complete revelation, handling a tough role in her debut film with remarkable ease."
Rachana, Glamsham Editorial wrote "Newcomer Tia Bajpai is good enough in the horror scenes. Her shocking, horror-struck expressions also work but her performance becomes dull in the light and romantic scenes."
Swati Bhattacharyya from Daily Bhaskar wrote "Debut Tina Bajpai as Meera who was last seen in a reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is quite fresh, though she could have done away with her screams as it was adding to the pandemonium and chaos of the movie."
Bharat Student wrote "Tia Bajpai is the show stealer and she has given a riveting performance."
I won't go to the extent to say that she should have won but with such brilliant reviews on her performance in Haunted, she at least deserved a nomination! Are you listening filmfare, stardust, zee, apsara & screen?
