Who Makes The Best Jodi With King Khan?

There’s a reason why Shahrukh Khan has a considerably bigger female fan following among the womenfolk than any other Khan. Raj & Rahul by now have become a lexicon of SRK’s dictionary,the number of heroines he’s romanced in his countless romantic films are enough to turn any man blue-green with envy. One of the most perplexing quality about SRK is that no matter who the leading lady maybe,at the end of the day their chemistry will set the screen on fire.From Juhi,Madhuri & Kajol in the 90s to Kareena,Deepika,Anushka,SRK could even romance a potato sack and make it look sexy.As the Bollywood Badshah once again prepares to fill the shoes of the eternal loverboy in the late Yash Chopra’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”and romances two gorgeous young ladies;namely Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma,let’s talk about who do you think makes the “Best Jodi”with King Khan in his two decade career.

1)Kajol:
I would say give Shahrukh Khan-Kajol the Noble Prize For “Chemistry”already.Kajol one of the finest and most natural actresses in Bollywood has always delighted us with her quirky onscreen performances. Having acted opposite Shahrukh Khan in Baazigar, Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and My name is Khan,and special appearances in many of SRK’s films,all of which became blockbusters have made their scintillating chemistry the stuff that legends are made of.Their many romantic moments together,like the one in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai where they dance sensuously in the rain,send the chills down my spine even now.So for me not only does Kajol form the best pair with King Khan,but their Jodi sits pretty on top of all the jodis in Bollywood.

2)Juhi Chawla:
Long time friend and business partner of SRK,Juhi Chawla has probably acted in the maximum number of movies with King Khan. Shah Rukh and Juhi were seen together in movies like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Darr, Pehla Nasha, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Ram Jaane, Yes Boss, Duplicate, Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani, Raashq, One 2 ka 4, Paheli, Bhoothnath, Krazzy 4 and Luck by Chance.Juhi’s natural effervescence and vivacity mixed well with Shahrukh’s charisma and magnetism and together they made an explosive pair.Not to mention Juhi is after all the Kiran of SRK’s legendary “K..k..kkk…iran”.

3)Madhuri Dixit:
“A-ha”!Now who can resist that apsara like smile?Surely even SRK must have lost his footing over Mad’s pearlies.Long before SRK became the superstar that he is,Madhuri Dixit then the reigning queen bee of B-Town starred opposite the relative newcomer(SRK) in 1994’s Anjaam which although flopped at the box office,established SRK-Madhuri as one of Bollywood’s most beautiful matinee couples.The Dhak Dhak girl has acted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 5 movies – Anjaam, Koyla, Dil to Pagal hai, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and Devdas of which DTPH and Devdas became all time superhits.

4)Rani Mukherji
From playing the feminine college hottie to the campus’s coolest dude,to being a drab married teacher who begins an affair with a married grouch,Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee’s romantic landscapes have transcended mountains and moles. They have many hit movies together. They starred together in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil jo Pyar Karega, Hey Ram, Chalte Chalte, Kal Ho naa Ho, Veer Zaara, Paheli, Kabhi Alvida naa Kehna and Saathiya and like cousin Kajol has also made special appearances in King Khan’s films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

5)Aishwarya Rai:
Any man would fight tooth and nail to be standing beside the “Most beautiful woman in the world”.Well Shahrukh Khan got to romance Aishwarya Rai in 2 films – Mohabbatein (as his dead girlfriend who appears in flash back scenes), Devdas and the unreleased Raashq.She also played the role of SRK’s sister in the film Josh. In the Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan starer Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam she played the role of Salman Khan’s blind girlfriend which was a cameo. In another Shakti: The Power she made a special appearance in the popular "Ishq Kamina" song.They make quite a fetching pair,no?

6)Preity Zinta:
One thing both Shahrukh and Preity Zinta share in common is their cute-as-a-button dimples that can make the world a better place.Probably that’s why they make a couple as beautiful as sin.Preity Zinta has acted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 3 films Kal Ho naa ho, Veer Zaara and Kabhi Alvida naa kehna. All these movies were box office hits and their pairing was appreciated by the viewers.Also Preity started her career with 1998’s SRK-Manisha Koirala starrer “Dil Se” where she had a small role as the leading lady’s sister and also made special appearances in many of SRK’s songs.

7)Anushka Sharma:
In 2008,a 43 year old Shahrukh Khan starred with a 19 year old Anushka Sharma in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Now YRF’s newest blue-eyed gal gets ready to star in Tuesday’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan with SRK once again. Even with a 20+ age gap there was no hint of uncomfortability between the lead pair in RNBDJ and Tanni’s chemistry with both the polite Suri and flamboyant Raj was just as sweet and refreshing.

8)Priyanka Chopra:
This one became so hot to handle onscreen that it sent rumours of sparks flying behind the scenes as well. But one thing you cannot deny is that rumours or not,the Don and his Jungli Billi do form one of the most scintillatingly sexy pairs in recent times. What say Gauri?

9)Deepika Padukone :
SRK joked that during the shooting of 2007’s “Om Shanti Om” he had to stand up on a stool to match the height of the towering Ms.Padukone. Height and age it seems however are no limitations for Shahrukh Khan and his stunning leading lady to set the screen on fire as judging by their amazing chemistry in Farah Khan’s reincarnation saga.

10)Kareena Kapoor:
The current Heroine No.1 of Bollywood loves to gloat that she’s worked with the Big 3 Khans of Bollywood.But her Khan-tastic journey started way back in 2001’s flop period drama “Ashoka”and Karan Johar’s multistarrer blockbuster “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” where she played SRK’s superficial sis-in-law Poo.Their next pairing came eons later in last year’s sci-fi “Ra.One”where their touching and cute chemistry was one of the (few)strong points of an otherwise flawed film.

Of particular notice is the ethereal and porcelain doll like late Divya Bharti who was not only the Badshah’s first co-star in 1992’s Deewana but also starred with him later that year in Dil Aashna Hai.The refreshing young love and camaraderie between them had the audience begging for more.The pretty,petite,and immensely talented Manisha Koirala cooked up quite a steam with Shahrukh Khan in one of his better performances in 1998’s Dil Se,while gorgeous ex-Miss Universe set the screen on burning temperature in Main Hoon Na.

And by the looks of it all from the promos,Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan seem to be burning the screen too after years of missed opportunities of working with each other.
