What changes would you love to see in Bollywood?

This topic may be borring to many, but not to Bollywood enthusiasts like me.

Bollywood's first movie Raja Harishchandra came out in 1913 and we are in 2011 today. That makes our industry almost 100 years old.

In this time span, we have seen many stars/production houses come and go. The movie length has come down from 3 hours to 1.5 hours. But somethings havent changed. Our movies still are mainly musicals and revolve a lot around family etc.

As a Bollywood lover, what changes would you love to see in Bollywood? Here is my list:

- I feel there is a sheer shortage of innovation. Movies today are mainly remakes of Hollywood or South Indian movies. This needs to change

- Nepotism does exist like anywhere else in India. But with nepotism comes a drawback. You don't see new talent coming in. I hope leading production houses keep this mind and give chances to fresh faces who are talented and not already from the industry.

- Bollywood is yet to produce a good horror movie. I havent yet seen a good horror movie coming out of India. I am still waiting.

- What's with the innumerable awards ceremonies? Hollywood being the biggest industry has just 2 award ceremonies. Bollywood has 10 and still counting.

-Movies like 3 Idiots and Dabanng turning into biggest grossers only shows that Indian audience connects most with simple stories well told and not some westernised movie which is a copy of a Hollywood movie. We need to stop copying the west blindly.

This list can go on and on. But I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

* I will collect all inputs and update the post at the end*
