A war of words between Abhishek Bachchan && Prahlad Kakkar:
Taking a jibe at the way Bollywood works, perennially smiling adman Prahlad Kakkar had the audience at the Mumbai Film Festival in splits when he said the industry is a mom and pop shop.
"Why use a good actor when you can have a nephew? And if you have to create stars anyway, why not from the family? It is hence very difficult for men to become stars. But since Bollywood does not want their women to be in films, females have a better chance of becoming stars or starlets. Men stars are usually useless nephews and sons," he said at a forum.
Taking an open shot at the young Bachchan scion, Kakkar said, "Abhishek Bachchan has 17 flops in a row and is still going strong. He is unique and should be in the Guinness Book of Records," much to uproarious laughter from the gathering.
Along with Kakkar, veteran actor Pavan Malhotra became the darling of the audience with his frank views when he told the media, "You print my story continuously for a year and see where I go. I will become a star too."

It is not the first time Abhishek's position in the industry has been questioned ... My only problem is whatever Kakkar said is an opinion of ALOT OF PEOPLE but because kakkar is a more famous face he will get some kinda backlash over it! But He is only saying something that is butt obvious! He used Abhishek as an example to describe the way the whole of Btown at large works...and we can see that in more cases than not!...
I understand that these type of things can hurt someones self esteem and all they r capable of accomplishing or wanting to accomplish but having ur more famous parents or wife everywhere u go trying to promote urself only does the opposite too and when he is in the business he is in, these are the stabs he will face and every star son has had to eventually prove himself but abhishek still seems to be doing so after 10 + yrs....
