The Trend of Foreign Actors in India - Yay or Nay?

Mumbai is the city of dreams and B town is where it all comes true. Yes even for foreigners. Apart from Indians wanting to make it big in the film industry, there are models/actors from other countries who want to make it big here too. And somehow in the rat race to bag the finest projects, it is these foreign belle's and sometimes the men who get selected. Katrina Kaif in "Boom", Jacqueline Fernandez in "Aladin", Nargis Fakhri in "Rockstar" and most recently singer turned actor Ali Zafar too! While its a good thing that we have fresh faces coming in, do we really need to resort to having foreign actors in our cinema?

Today every song irrespective of whether its shot in India or a foreign locale will have atleast one foreigner shaking a leg in the background or with the lead actor. Take for example, in the title track of "Mere Brother ki Dulhan" there is a foreigner dancing with Imran Khan. True that bollywood cinema is mostly about glamorous
people, but come on, Indian actors can be glamorous in songs too. To prove the point, take Lara Dutta in 'Saiyaan' from "Mumabi Se Aaya Mera Dost" or Sushmita Sen in 'Mehboob mere' from "Fizaa". They have the looks, can dance and can make the song look really sexy and elegant. But if its too prove that foreign actors can dance to hindi music and learn to deliver dialogues in hindi, then point taken. Nothing against foreigners or their work but it just feels so wrong that there are foreign actor/dancers making a foray into the industry when there are numerous fresh talented Indians just waiting for an opportunity to prove themselves.
