New Year, New Resolutions, New Plans, New Ideas, New Commitments and New Onscreen Bollywood pairs - we have entered 2018. Over the years, we have seen Bollywood filmmakers experimenting and getting fresh pairs for the cinema buffs - recent being the onscreen pair of Deepika Padukone and Irrfan in Piku - which was appreciated by the masses. 

This year Bollywood is coming with amazing films and we are looking forward to the fresh onscreen jodis of the year 2018.

Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh in Aiyaary

Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary is based on a real-life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways. Manoj Bajpayee is the mentor while Sidharth Malhotra plays his protege in the film. But, the film also has a romantic angle to it. Rakul Preet who made Bollywood debut in 2014 with Yaariyaan will play Sid's love interest. Going by their chemistry in the song Lae Dooba, fans can look forward to something 'hatke'. 

Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte in Padman

Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte - both are talented actors and seeing them share one frame would be a delight. R Balki’s Padman is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas. While Akshay plays the titular role, Radhika will be seen as Akshay's wife in the film. 

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in Baaghi 2

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been rumoured to be dating for a while now. Though the two shared screen space in the song Befikra, it will be exciting to see the two in a film. Tiger and Disha's chemistry is one of the highlights that people are looking forward to watching Baaghi 2. 

Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in Drive

Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez have paired for the first time for Tarun Mansukhani's Drive. The pictures of the two that have come out on the social media are enough to give us a hint of their HOT chemistry and what they have in store for us. 

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in Raazi

Meghna Gulzar's next titled Raazi is based on Harinder Sikka's book Calling Sehmat. The espionage thriller is set during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. The movie stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles - this pairing is unusual, but going by the standards the two have set - we can expect a lot out of these young actors. In an interview to a leading agency, Vicky said, "Getting a chance to work with Alia Bhatt, inarguably one the finest actresses in our industry at the moment, is a big deal for me. I am really very excited to be a part of the film. The kind of work she has done. She has worked wonderfully in her movies and brings something new to each film. She sets a new benchmark with her releases. I am sure I'll learn a lot from her and working with her will be fun."

Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in Sui Dhaaga: Made in India

For the first time ever, Varun Dhawan will be paired with Anushka Sharma in YRF’s Sui Dhaaga: Made in India. The movie which is being helmed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma is a heart-warming story of pride and self-reliance, rooted in the heart of India. Varun believes that his chemistry with Anushka will be crackling and the film will work with the masses. The actor also believes that the ideology of Made In India has been popularised in our country by the likes of great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence, he takes immense pride in the fact that he can spread this ideology to the masses. Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu in October

Varun Dhawan's collaboration with Shoojit Sircar in October has grabbed the right kind of buzz. The film will see Varun pairing with Banita Sandhu. When Shoojit was asked about casting Banita by a leading daily, he got candid and said that he had Banita in mind for the movie as he felt she could fit the character right. "We did look at other actors [for Banita’s part], but then one day, I called her and told her that I may be casting her in the film and that she should start doing workshops," Shoojit said. What about this new jodi?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in Fanney Khan

Rajkummar Rao will be seen opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan. It will be a hatke jodi. About the kind of chemistry, the two actors will share in the film, Rao in an interview said, "I think it will be H2SO+C+… (laughs). There is a love angle between us, and I am really looking forward to it. I am a little nervous, and excited as well. Because you have to romance the world’s most beautiful woman. Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is making a lot of noise much before its release. Ranbir Kapoor is stepping into the shoes of Dutt and his leaked pictures went viral sending all the fans into a frenzy. Dia Mirza will be playing the role of Maanayata Dutt in the film. It will be an unusual pairing!

Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh in Arjun Patiala

Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh will share the screen space for the first time in a film titled Arjun Patiala. According to reports, Kriti plays the role of a journalist. Diljit, on the other hand, is a quirky, small-town guy. The film is a content-driven comedy and will roll in February 2018. Kriti, who will share screen space with Diljit for the first time, said, "I love watching good comedies and while shooting for Bareilly Ki Barfi I realised that I enjoyed being a part of this world too. I'm looking forward to shooting with Diljit."

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in Dhadak

Dhadak will see Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter and Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor. In the posters, you can truly witness their crackling chemistry. Dhadak is an official remake of 2016 Marathi blockbuster Sairaat. A new jodi in the making!
