From Sridevi to Stan Lee, celebrities who bid goodbye to us in 2018

The year 2018 saw a lot of cinematic gems bidding a goodbye to us. Their work, talent and contribution to cinema will always be remembered and treasured, however, the void of their loss is something that can't be replaced with anyone or anything. From Sridevi to Stan Lee to Narendra Jha, this year we lost people who gave away their hearts and souls to keep us entertained and take us out of the mundane lives with their cinematic contributions.

Sridevi

One of Bollywood ethereal beauty and phenomenal actresses Sridevi passed away on February 25, 2018, due to alleged accidental drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai. The whole nation was in shock of the actress's untimely demise. Sridevi. Her contribution to the Indian cinema does not limit just to Bollywood movies. She has been a part of several classics in the South Indian Film industry. Sridevi was considered the female superstar in India. 

Stan Lee

Marvel's co-founder Stan Lee passed away on November 13, 2018, due to cardiac arrest. The 95-year-old writer and director is the man behind everyone's favourite superheroes like Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther and The Fantastic Four and many others. His death led to heartbreaks of many celebrities and Marvel fans.

Krishna Raj Kapoor

One of Kapoor family's important member and late legendary actor Raj Kapoor's wife Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away on October 1. She was the mother of actors Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor and grandmother of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.

Narendra Jha

TV and Bollywood actor Narendra Jha breathed his last on March 14, 2018. The actor died due to cardiac arrest at his farmhouse in Nashik. Jha has been a part of several popular shows like  Shanti, Itihaas, Choona Hai Aasmaan and Captain House.

Kavi Kumar Azad

Actor Kavi Kumar Azad played the role of the lovable Dr Haathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor died on July 9, 2018, due to cardiac arrest. 

Kalpana Lajmi

On September 23 this year, ace filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi passed away at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The filmmaker was battling kidney cancer. Her work for the Indian cinema has been very bold as she was known for making women-oriented and realistic films.

Shammi Aunty

Bollywood's veteran actor Nargis Rabadi who was popularly known as Shammi aunty breathed her last on March 6, 2018. Shammi aunty has been a part of more than 200 Hindi films and also acted in several Hindi TV shows.

Ava Mukherjee

Veteran actress Ava Mukherjee passed away at the age of 88 on January 15. She is known for playing the role of grandmothers in various films and commercials. She also played the role of Shah Rukh Khan's grandmother in Devdas.

Shrivallabh Vyas  

One of the talents of Bollywood, Shrivallabh Vyas passed away on January 7, 2018, in Jaipur. The actor has acted in at least 60 Hindi movies so far. The actor played the role of Ishwar Kaka in Aamir Khan starrer Lagaan.

While these stars have left us, they will always be in our minds and hearts for their work and brilliance.
