Sonu Nigam has announced his retirement from his glorious singing career. Apparently, he seems to have done so owing to some contract confusion with T Series. Sonu, who last sang for Shekar Suman's movie 'Heartless', has backed out of this movie and asked Shekar Suman to have his songs dubbed by someone else. So what led to Sonu's retirement from the one thing he loved most - music? Though the details are not known, Sonu tweeted that the retirement came after a tiff with the music company T-series.

Not divulging the details, Sonu tweeted that the music companies makes the singers sign some illegal contracts. He wrote, "If I show u a sample of the contract they make composers, lyrics writers and singers sign, you'll faint. We can all end up in the jail in the future. They r lucky that the press hasn't gotten into the depth of the matter. It's feudal, humiliating and illegal, and can only end up in tedious and deliberate court cases for nuisance value. Who wants to get into it? I'd rather sit at home and do Yoga than get into this mess. Shekhar ji is a good man, and understands our compulsions. I've asked him to get my voice dubbed by anyone who agrees to sign this... I'm sure the music will speak for itself."

Well, this is a sad case of losing such a fantastic singer, owing to the illegalities of the industry, don't you think?
