Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena Parkar, Sanjay Dutt's Bhoomi and Rajkummar Rao's Newton; movies releasing this week

Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena Parkar, Sanjay Dutt starrer Bhoomi and Rajkummar Rao starrer Newton release this week. The three movies belong to a completely different genre and it is to be seen which movie triumphs.

There's rarely a Friday, where no movie has released. Sometimes, there is a single film released or at times we see two or three films hitting the screens on the same Friday. But this week (September 22, 2017), we have four Bollywood releases apart from a few Hollywood films and they are - Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena Parkar, Sanjay Dutt's Bhoomi, Rajkummar Rao's Newton and Kunal Roy Kapur's The Final Exit. All four films are of different genres and have a different set of audience too.

Let's take a look at these films in detail...

Haseena Parkar

The gangster film is a biopic based on the life and times of Haseena Parkar, who is Dawood Ibrahim's sister. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor in a titular role alongside Siddhanth Kapoor who will be seen playing the role of Dawood. The crime drama is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is produced by Nahid Khan. 


Bhoomi

This film marks the comeback vehicle for Sanjay Dutt on the big screen after three years. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari playing the role of Dutt's onscreen daughter. Bhoomi is a revenge drama and will have Sanjay playing a character with a vengeance. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film is produced by Sandeep Singh and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.


Newton

Newton is another outing of the immensely talented actor Rajkummar Rao. In the film, Rajkummar will be seen playing the role of a rookie government clerk, who is sent to a Naxal-controlled area in Chattisgarh, to get access of voting for the people living there.


The Final Exit

The Final Exit is a supernatural horror film directed by debutant Dhwanil Mehta. The film stars Kunal Roy Kapur in the lead along with Archana Shastry, Elena Kazan, Reyhna Malhotra, Scarlett Wilson, Ananya Sengupta and Divya Agarwal. The movie is based on hallucinations.


Also releasing is a film titled JD which is reportedly based on Tarun Tejpal, Editor-in-chief, Tehelka Magazine Sexual Assault Case. The film is directed by Shailendra Pandey and also stars Govind Namdev, Aman Verma, Vedita Pratap Singh to name a few.
