Shashi Kapoor, born on December 4, 1938, was an Indian film actor and producer. Shashi Kapoor has appeared in 168 films, which include both Hindi and English-language films. Besides an actor, Shashi Kapoor was also a film director and assistant director in the film industry. Shashi Kapoor was the third and youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor, the younger brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Till date, Shashi Kapoor is remembered for his rich cinematic legacy and the famous dialogue "Mere paas Maa hai".
While Shashi Kapoor captivated millions of fans through his phenomenal work, but in personal life, the actor was deeply in love with English actress, Jennifer Kendall. As a matter of fact, Shashi Kapoor met his wife Jennifer while working with his father Prithviraj Kapoor in the Prithvi Theatres. After falling in love, Shashi Kapoor married Jennifer in July 1958 and they were blessed with three children - Kunal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor.
Shashi Kapoor took his last breath at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on December 4, 2017. The veteran actor was 79 and was on dialysis for his kidney treatment. He is best known for his contribution to Hindi cinema through the roles in Deewar, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Namak Halal, Kaala Patthar, Kabhie Kabhie and many more.
