Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's anniversary: 27 years and still counting

It's been three decades that Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan have been together. After all the ups and downs, the two have been with each other and are going strong with each passing year. Despite their popularity, Shah Rukh and Gauri have always managed to keep their relationship private. Today, they are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Their marriage has passed many tests of destiny. We will revisit their love story on the special occasion. It all started in 1984 when they met at a common friend's birthday party. The road to marriage wasn't an easy one. There was a cultural difference. Yes! But that didn't stop them from getting married. 

Gauri said in an interview that “Shah Rukh was the first person I met and went out with. And he has been the only man.” While Shah Rukh focused on his acting career, Gauri went on to pursue her passion in fashion designing. But eventually, the two got married on October 25, 1991. In an interview, this is what Gauri said about her parents' reaction. "Yes, my parents were obviously not in for it because we were so young and then, to take a decision to get married to a person who was going to join films and also from a different religion," she said. 

It was a Hindu marriage ceremony. In an interview, King Khan said, "I don't know whether I am a nut but I am very intense about my love for Gauri. She's a part of me." Six years after their wedding, the Khans welcomed their first son, Aryan, on November 13. Shah Rukh and Gauri’s only daughter, Suhana, was born on May 22, 2000, while their youngest AbRam Khan came via surrogacy on May 27, 2013.

Gauri Khan once revealed to Vogue. "He is the best husband and father I could ever ask for. I always say that I am so fortunate to be with Shah Rukh Khan, the man. I don’t come from a space where I gush and praise—the world is doing enough of that. I like to keep my love for him private and inside the doors of Mannat."

Individually, the two have made their space. While Gauri is busy with her interior designing projects, SRK has been giving successful films. Despite the spotlight, the two have always stood by each other. In many interviews, SRK has revealed it was because of Gauri that he has made that big. 

Aryan and Suhana are now busy with their college lives. It's AbRam who has been the strong connecting link between SRK and Gauri. The two spend enough time with their son and are spotted at several occasions.
