Ranbir Kapoor's latest outing Sanju has finally hit the screens today. The film is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, where the ups and downs of the actor from the 80s to his jail term is showcased. The film mainly focuses on the father and son bond which Sunil Dutt and Sanjay shared.

When Sanjay was jailed during the 1993 blasts, his father Sunil was in full support and stood by his son till his last breath. When Sanjay was in the jail, as per Sanjay's book Namrata Dutt's book Mr. and Mrs. Dutt — Memories of our Parents, Sunil said, "How can I sleep when I know my son is in the same city, a few miles away from me, lying on a cold stone floor?"
