Sanju: Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza's acts shine in Ranbir Kapoor's film

Finally, the much-awaited film of the year, Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor, has hit the screens. You can see the story of Sanjay Dutt's controversial life on the big screen. Drugs, Controversies and Girlfriends - Sanjay Dutt's life wasn't a simple life. It had a lot of twists and turns that Rajkumar Hirani has tried to show through his vision.
The movie boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Manish Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarbh and Karishma Tanna.
Everyone has done a great job, but the ladies in the show had a lot to contribute to. Starting from Manisha Koirala - the veteran actor plays the role of Sanjay Dutt's mother Nargis Dutt. Those who seen Nargis would agree that she has picked up the character pretty well. She looks exactly like Nargis Dutt and has helped the story to go ahead.
Dia Mirza has put a stellar act as Maanayata. After watching her bit, you would have high regards for her as she stood by Sanjay Dutt through all his bad phases. Isn't that true love what Maanayata has for Sanjay Dutt? Dia will make you believe that she is NOT the reel character but a real one. Dia and Ranbir have done a great job together.
In an interview, Dia was all praises for Ranbir Kapoor and said, "Ranbir is easily one of the finest actors of our time. He comes to the set with such an ease, and he makes everything look so simple, effortless. The most beautiful quality about Ranbir is how alive he is when a scene is being played out. There were times when it was difficult to tell Ranbir apart from Sanju sir, it was quite phenomenal."
Then, we have Sonam Kapoor who plays the role of Sanju's girlfriend and she has done her bit just perfectly. In her scene, you could see the agony when Ranbir aka Sanju, instead of the mangalsutra, puts the cover of the toilet seat. Her role also showed the reckless side of Sanjay Dutt.
Now comes Anushka Sharma who plays a writer in the film or in her words - the spirit of Rajkumar Hirani. She is the one who writes the biography of Dutt and helps him tell his story to the audience. It was her character that Ranbir narrates the whole story to.
Last but not the least, we have Karishma Tanna - she didn't have much of the role in the movie. But, in the space she had she did keep her best foot forward - her expressions are on point.
In a way, it's a team effort in putting all the facts right.
