A court in Mumbai, recently ruled that actor Salman Khan will be tried for a 2002 hit-and-run case.
Khan had appealed that the case be withdrawn due to lack of evidence, however he has now been given one months notice for trial for 'culpabable homicide not amounting to murder'.
The offence under this section attracts a ten-year jail term and is triable by a sessions court.
