Salman Khan - Kareena Kapoor Khan in Shuddhi?
It seems all is well between Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, while the two dispelled rumours of a rift after hugging at the 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' event. Bebo also revealed to Masand, that KJo still frequently visits, and he was even spotted at a private dinner at Saif - Kareena's residence last night (which also had Amrita Arora, Vikram Phadnis, Tushaar Kapoor in attendance).
TOI reports that Karan Johar has managed to convince Kareena to return to his magnum opus, 'Shuddhi' (to be directed by Karan Malhotra). A source reveals that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been finalized across Salman Khan for the project and though Karan Malhotra will commence 'Warrior' (starring Sidharth, Akshay) first, 'Shuddhi' is all set to go.
'Shuddhi' is a mystic love story, based on reincarnation, set over several eras, including modern times. The lead actress is said to play several avatars of a Queen, while the lead actor plays a king. Pankaj Kapur was roped in to play a villain in the project.
After the multiple speculations regarding Shuddhi, this rumour joins the fray, lets see whether this one turns out to be true! Salman Khan has a jam packed schedule and is unlikely to be able to allot 200 days to 'Shuddhi' soon. Kareena Kapoor Khan who is busy wrapping up 'Singham Returns', recently turned down Sujoy Ghosh's 'Durga Rani Singh' and Vidhu Vinod Chopra who approached her with the script of Bejoy Nambiar's next film. Bebo and Sallu have previously worked together in 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna', 'Kyon Ki' and 'Bodyguard'.
