Some movies leave that deep indelible forever impact upon your mind with its calm way of saying things, sootheness of emotions, and closeness to reality yet melodic and dramatic. One of such movies is "Bawarchi" released on 7th July 1972.This movie completed its 43 years this year.

The movie revolves around Rajesh Khanna, who joins this not-so-happy family as a cook. He spreads a lot of love and goodwill, thus bringing the family members closer and enriches the life of each of them. His smiling manner and kind way-of-words impresses everyone and they get to trust him and love him.

The stranger aka “Raghu” (Rajesh Khanna in one of his epic roles) being an intellectual and a multitalented person, aspires to make this world a happy and beautiful place not through big revolutions but through love.

The story reaches its climax with a song, "Bhor Aai Gaya Andhiyara........................Bhor Aai Gaya Andhiyara..................." The movie reaches its end through a dramatic path reflecting another selfless act of Raghu towards the family.

Finally he leaves the home in search of another home which has forgotten to celebrate life. The movie leaves you with a sweet taste of vintage simpleness and goodwill.

Bawarchi was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, starring Rajesh Khanna and Jaya Badhuri with Asrani, A.K. Hangal, Usha Kiran and Durga Khote in supporting roles.
