Ranveer's Smooth Shave Causes A Disagreement On Sets Of Ram Leela
Seems Sanjay Leela Bhansali was really upset when his lead actor in Ram Leela, Ranveer Singh, came to shooting with a clean shaved face. Ranveer's character has a beard in the movie and Sanjay was not pleased that Ranveer 'got out of character' in the middle of the shooting schedule.
Sources told TOI that Ranveer was badly stuck and had no option but to get rid of his facial hair. He had a look test for Yash Raj Films production Gunday and decided to make do with prosthetics for a few days as a makeshift arrangement.
Creative people can be temperamental and Sanjay Leela Bhansali certainly has a reputation of being a tough man to please. The Director lost his temper and this led to a big fight on the sets.
Sources say that Sanjay just wants to ensure Ranveer's talent does not go waste and wants him to pay attention to even minor details like the beard, Gujarati accent and Dandiya steps without making any compromises. No lasting damage seems to have been done with both parties cooling down and getting on with the shooting. Seems they shot a very special song on the same day itself.
