Ranbir rescues Priyanka, Ileana from a mob attack in Banglore..

Gallant actors coming to the rescue of their lady love is fairly common in films, but can they perform these challenges in the real life too? In a heroic act, worthy of the movies, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor saved his co-stars from groping fans at the promotional event of their upcoming film “Barfi”.

The rescue act
The fans at the Phoenix Mall in Bangalore got a little too excited on Monday evening upon seeing their favorite stars Priyanka Chopra, Ileana d'Cruz and Ranbir Kapoor in person at the event.

The security bandobast fell apart and the trio was literally mobbed by the enthusiastic fans that began getting a trifle unruly.

Using his presence of mind, Ranbir came upon a rescue plan to flee with his leading ladies from the venue.

Junior RK formed a protective cordon around Priyanka and Ileana and immediately rushed through the back entrance in order to avert what could have turned into an ugly situation.

A source informed, “Anything could`ve happened. It was the most horrific incident of fan frenzy I`ve ever seen, and I`ve seen plenty. The mobs just broke the barricades and descended on Ranbir, Ileana and Priyanka.

“Ranbir acted swiftly and bundled his two co-stars out of the back entrance. The way the three of them Ranbir, Priyanka and Ileana ran out of the mall would have put Milkha Singh , P T Usha and Ivet Lalova to shame.”

Unruly crowds
The three stars of Barfi were supposed to reach the Phoenix Market City in the Garden city for their promotional camapign at 4 pm. However, due to lack of adequate security arrangements, the star cast landed at the mall by 5.30 pm.

The presence of Ranbir, Ileana and Priyanka caused a stampede and fans went beserk, pushing and shoving to get a sneak peak at them. Surprisingly, it was Ileana that most of the people had gathered there to see and tried to mob.

According to a reliable source, “When we got into the mall there were around 40,000 people shouting and screaming. We didn't realize that besides Ranbir and Priyanka, Ileana was a massive draw for the Bangaloreans.

"The minute the stars waved and said 'Hello ,Bangalore,' the crowds surged forward, broke the barricades, and began heading towards the stars. Anything could have happened."

It was Ranbir’s heroics that saved the day. Well done Junior RK!!
