Priyanka wore 6 sets of the same Sari in Albela Sajan!

Here is an interesting fact about the recently released song 'Albela Sajan' from the movie Bajirao Mastani which is slated to release worldwide on December 18.

The song features Priyanka as Kashibai welcoming her warrior husband Bajiroa Peshwa played by Ranveer Singh. The song which is also known as Priyanka's rangoli song features Priyanka dancing with a huge display of rangoli in front of her. The song is bright and colourful and promises to be a great cinematic experience in true Sanjay Leela Bhansali style, who has kept the best parts for the film's release.  

Anju Modi the designer behind the amazing outfits spilled the beans regarding Priyanka's outfit in the song. Here is what the talented designer had to say:

“If we made Priyanka wear the nine yards of heavy silk, she would have looked huge on screen. So, I got my weavers to put together lighter silk saris even though they were nine yards in length. I included light Chanderis, Maheshwaris and mul-mul fabrics in the other ensembles,” says Modi. 

She also explained how the perfectionist wanted Priyanka's sari to look white without any rangoli colours throughout the whole song:

Filming for the ‘Rangoli’ song that features Priyanka Chopra, Anju Modi realised that she needed to create multiple sets of the same outfit. “We had to create as many as six changes of the sari for the re-takes. I ended up making as many as 300 outfits for the film,”  says Modi. 

It surely is a visual treat!
