Chinta Ko Darbar Ki Nok Pe Rakhe Wo Rajput, Ret Ki Naav Lekar Samundar Se Shart Lagaye Wo Rajput, Aur Jiska Sir Kate Phir Bhi Dhar Dushman Se Ladta Rahe Wo Rajput - Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is doing something which he has never done - stepping into the shoes of Maharawal Ratan Singh and now that the trailer is out, we can say that he will surely surprise you with his act. From his dialogue delivery to his costumes, everything is on point. For those who don't know who is Maharawal Ratan Singh, he was the 42nd ruler of Mewar who ruled from 1302-03 AD and Shahid has left no stone unturned for transforming himself and look completely like Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

If you closely notice the trailer, you would agree how Shahid with only one dialogue - Chinta Ko Darbar Ki Nok Pe Rakhe Wo Rajput, Ret Ki Naav Lekar Samundar Se Shart Lagaye Wo Rajput, Aur Jiska Sir Kate Phir Bhi Dhar Dushman Se Ladta Rahe Wo Rajput, just wins hearts all over. His expressions are just on fleek and you wouldn't help but fall for his look.

It wasn't easy for Shahid to look convincing - he had gone an extra mile for achieving that perfect look. He had to sweat it out in the gym and learn sword-fighting. Earlier, Shahid had revealed what went into making his character of the Maharawal, a reality. The actor said, "When you are playing a king, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, the people used to not be very skinny and lean, so you need to have a manly personality. Basically for that, and to carry those outfits also, Sanjay sir (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) wanted me to be a little muscular and a little full. But I will be gaining weight in terms of muscle and not in terms of fat. This is because I am playing the character of a warrior. The Rajput kings had very strong personalities."

Well, all his hard work has paid off. The trailer starts with Rawal Ratan Singh walking in the 'darbar' and behind him is a moving wall of cloth and you get to see Rani Padmavati. By the first look, we do get an idea that Shahid is all set to make his mark.

This is the first time ever Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have teamed up for a film, and that too for a magnum opus directed by the ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Shahid and Deepika's chemistry will surely make you fall in love with them.
