Koffee With Karan 6 Highlights: Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and SS Rajamouli talk Baahubali and relationships
In a candid conversation with Karan Johar, the behemoth Baahubali team of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and SS Rajamouli spilled the beans on the magnum opus as well as their relationships; past and present.
Karan Johar made history in today's episode of Koffee With Karan 6 when the filmmaker managed to bring to his couch, the behemoth Baahubali team - Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and SS Rajamouli. Whether it be the shy and guarded nature of Prabhas, the extrovert attitude of Rana or the visionary wit of Rajamouli, this Baahubali meets Koffee With Karan chat was entertaining from the start to the finish. An awestruck KJo posed a few controversial questions which were cleverly dodged by both Prabhas and Rana while Rajamouli pulled both of their legs.
No topic was spared, whether it be talking about the magnum opus which is the biggest franchise in Indian history as Baahubali 2 minted Rs 2000 crores, or even past and present relationships, whether it be Prabhas and Anushka Shetty or even Rana and Trisha Krishnan. The Rapid Fire Round was part exciting and equally diplomatic as the trio refrained from some very controversial questions. The Coffee Shots round saw some spilling of the beans and Rajamouli proved victorious when he was able to call two people to tell Karan, "Hi Karan, it's me!" even before Prabhas or Rana could.

Introvert Prabhas and Extrovert Rana:
From the get-go, you could see how shy Prabhas was as it was his first time in a talk show, ever! Rajamouli got candid about how Prabhas doesn't like way too many people around him but with his closed ones, he's an extrovert. On the other hand, Karan spoke about Rana's party scene and the latter explained how he loves social gatherings.
'Why Did Katappa Kill Baahubali?' Hysteria:
We all were left shocked at the climax of Baahubali and for years wondered why the hell did Katappa kill Baahubali. When KJo quizzed Rajamouli on whether he expected the hysteria behind the climax, the filmmaker revealed, "We didn't expect it (the hysteria). It was not intentional to shock the audience. It was just giving them something to hold on to, like a cliffhanger. I didn't expect it to catch on so much. After people started making memes and talking so much about it, then we thought let's make it a hook line for the second film. It was not thought of before. It came from the people and the audience."
Relationships and Female Attention:
When Prabhas was asked about the female attention he receives, the actor humbly replied, "It feels good with so many people loving you and all but it's better when they are far away and love me."
Both Prabhas and Rana claimed that they were currently single and when Karan prodded the former about his relationship status with Anushka Shetty, he vehemently denied the rumours. Even Rana agreed that Prabhas and Anushka were just friends and not dating.
About his relationship with ex-girlfriend Trisha, Rana candidly shared, "She's been a friend of mine from a decade. We have been friends for very long and dated for a little time. But I guess, things didn't work out."
Who Will Get Married First - Prabhas or Rana:
Karan asked the big question of the night to Rajamouli on who he thinks will get married first - Prabhas or Rana? On this, the filmmaker noted that he felt Rana would get married first. Why? Rajamouli explains, "Rana is so structured that everything has to be broken into structures, pieces and boxes for him. His whole life is like 1-10 years, 10-15 years, 15-20 years. Marriage is an aspect, a box to be ticked. That will get ticked. But, I don't know whether that marriage will last. (laughs)"
When it comes to Prabhas, he continued, "I think Prabhas won't get married as he is lazy. Going through the entire process of finding the girl, doing the invitations, calling people and the ceremonies, it's too much. He is lazy to get married. (laughs)"
Rapid Fire Round:
The most exciting part of any Koffee With Karan episode is the Rapid Fire Round. The Baahubali trio was pitted against each other as Rana took the politically diplomatic route. The actor did show his keen interest in working opposite Deepika Padukone and stated that the sexiest actress in the Telegu industry was Anushka. On who he would like to set Prabhas up with, Rana replied Katrina Kaif.
Prabhas too stated that rumoured girlfriend Anushka was the sexiest actress in the Telegu film industry and revealed that he would want to set up Rana with his ex-girlfriend Trisha. He also chose Anushka over Kajal Aggarwal and Tamannaah Bhatia as his favourite co-star.
The winner of the Rapid Fire Round, SS Rajamouli would choose Deepika Padukone as his Devasena when asked to recast Baahubali with Bollywood actors. However, he refused to replace Prabhas and Rana with anyone. As an actor, Rajamouli loves Salman Khan and he prefers Baahuabli to Baahubali 2.
