Karisma Kapoor faces cheating charges
Karisma Kapoor had promised to be present at an inauguration function held by Nirmal Ujjwal Credit Co-Operative Society Limited. However, Karisma could not make it to the function leaving the society embarrassed and at a loss $$. The society submitted a complaint letter to Nandanvan police on Friday against her for the loss suffered.
Apparently, Pramod Manmode, founder of the society, was upset as it was too late for him to make alternative arrangements. He also suffered losses as he had payed her a 4 lakhs advance and booked a five-star room as well as arranged a high-end car for her.
However, Karisma's spokesperson cleared the misunderstanding to some extent when she mentioned that Karisma could not attend the event as her son was hospitalized the day before the event. The spokesperson said that Karisma immediately informed the organizers and also returned the money in full.
