Kareena's role in Happy Ending written with a lot of wit: says director
Though real-life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor had long decided to stay away from acting with each other, here they are working towards their movie 'Happy Ending'. Director duo Raj-DK mention in an interview to , how all this came about.
They said, "People keep talking about real-life couples not working together on screen, but the way we have written the script takes that into consideration. It’s not a typical off-screen couple being paired together. It’s been written with a lot of wit. Plus, it’s something that an actor of Kareena's calibre would love to do because, usually, she won’t get a full-length role like this".
They also added, "Once Saif came on board, we had Kareena in mind. She was always one of our potential candidates for that role. It would be interesting to watch a real-life couple doing something else on screen. So we pitched it to her when she came to visit Saif and she liked it a lot.”
Preity Zinta and Kalki Koechlin are also said to be doing cameos in this film starring Ileana D'Cruz opposite Saif Ali Khan.
