Kareena Kapoor joined the likes of Farhan Akhtar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Priyanka Chopra in promoting safety for women in India. She recently launched an application that promotes safety while women commute, reported

"This is an easy way to connect with your family when you are in trouble," said Kareena. The app makes calling for help easier at wee hours of the day.

With one press of a power button, automatically generated messages will be sent to four numbers. Location details are tracked via GPS and are sent along with the message. “I’m happy to be associated with such an initiative. I’m happy that it has received great response. I hope with this can keep the women in our country a little safer", said Kareena.
