Kareena Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan to come together for Prakash Jha's Satyagrah
The Kapoors and the Bachchans have had quite a history. There was close friendship, there was love, and then there was also misunderstandings, closing of ties and bitterness. A sweet love story between Karisma and Abhishek came to an end and the strong bond between the two families broke.
It is then obvious that the members from these two families avoided coming together on screen. It was considered something that is not likely to happen. However...this is Bollywood and things that are ordinarily not likely, become likely here. The two most talented and versatile actors had to come together sometime - and they are: Kareena and Amitabh. The actors will finally come together in Prakash Jha's next, 'Satyagrah'.
According to Mumbai Mirror, a source close to the film said, "Unlike in Dev, Kareena and the Big B will have a lot of scenes together. In Satyagrah, Kareena plays Ajay Devgn's ladylove and Amitabhji his mentor. Kareena's character has strong views on politics and when she realizes Devgn is going astray, stands up against him and his teacher," and added, "She will share a interactive space with Bachchanji's character that will lend her immense power. After Madhuri Dixit in Mrityudand, Kareena in Satyagrah is perhaps the director's second strongest leading lady," added the source.
