Kareena is ideal to play a spy princess- Shyam Benegal
Shyam Benegal speaks to Asian Age about his dream project, based on the life and times of Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan, more well-known as Noor Inayat Khan.
He says the project is of epic proportions as ''The plot largely takes place in Britain, France and Germany during World War II, propelled with a multitude of battle sequences and parachute landings''.
Speaking about the character he adds 'Working as a counter intelligence person, Noor first escaped to Paris, only to be captured and finally killed at a German concentration camp. So you may well gauge that the project needs to be canned in a proper epic form and deserves to made on a big scale,”
Before signing off he says, "one face that can perfectly suit the character to the tee is Kareena Kapoor. That would be an apt casting in my opinion. For Noor was a beautiful, slender girl with nice features. Kareena looks a lot like her''.
Incidentally Kareena Kapoor's sister Karisma worked with Shyam Benegal in 'Zubeidaa'.
