Kalki Koechlin's tiff with designers Riddhi-Siddhi
Kalki Koechlin recently walked the ramp for designers Riddhi-Siddhi at the 'Style Walk'. We also saw pictures of her performing an impromptu jig for the audience. However, Kalki apparently missed to accompany designer duo Riddhi-Siddhi at the final walk.
News had it that the designers made a rather controversial comment terming Kalki as being mentally disturbed due to problems with her hubby Anurag. Kalki, visibly upset with this, took to Twitter to express her fury. She wrote, "After a 4hour wait in lehenga, jewellery make up they have the gall to call me mentally disturbed! Riddhi siddhi, dp designers shame on you!"
Kalki also explained why she was not on the ramp. "i did not walk away from the ramp.organisers whisked me off and took me to a press area where i was doing interviews praising the designers!"
On a lighter note, she added, "By the way I am mentally disturbed but its certainly not because of my hubby;)"
However, imagine Kalki's shock when the designers denied ever having said such a thing. They tweeted, "@kalkikanmani : Please get your facts right, we do not belong to DP designers and it was their jewellery show to begin with."
"@kalkikanmani We are not a part of this gossip mongering with anyone as claimed by your tweet."
Meanwhile, designer duo Riddhi Siddhi say that they deserve a public apology. They say, "We need an officially apology on Twitter as she (Kalki) has been responsible for defaming us. We are respected designers in the industry and the whole fraternity's support to us on Twitter is an evidence of that. We have dressed an array of A listers from Kareena Kapoor to Sonam Kapoor, we do not need such a publicity gimmick. We are extremely hurt by Kalki's public defamation without checking the facts. It is indeed irresponsible to drag us without prior evidences and we deserve a public apology."
