Imran offered to return GTPM paycheque after relationship with KJo soured
Post the debacle of 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein', Karan Johar has dissociated himself with Imran Khan. Though this was Imran's third film with Dharma Productions, after the hit 'I Hate Luv Storys' and moderately successful 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu', it seems that Karan Johar blames Imran Khan for the box office results of 'GTPM'.
According to reports by , the director and actor apparently had a heated showdown post the release of the film, which resulted in Imran Khan offering to even return his paycheque for the film. Incidentally Karan Johar also shelved the forthcoming projects of the director Punit Malhotra (who made GTPM). Shakun Batra, was apparently keen for Imran Khan to star in his next film, was asked to drop him from the wish list.
Karan Johar apparently also gave Imran Khan and Avantika's baby shower a miss. Incidentally Imran Khan's relationship with producer Ekta Kapoor also soured after the release of 'OUATIMD', and he has been replaced in Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Bhavesh Joshi', while his other film 'Biryani' has been indefinitely postponed. The only project he has on hand is Nikhil Advani's film on time travel that also stars Ileana D'cruz.
