'I want to know why no one is doing anything about it' - Kareena on the mumbai gang rape incident
While promoting forthcoming film 'Satyagraha', Kareena Kapoor was asked about the Mumbai Gang Rape Incident.
Kareena says ' We always hear about incidents like these in other cities, like Nirbhayas incident, or in small towns, but now its happened in Mumbai, in our city'. She goes on ' I think people are still in shock, and wondering what the goverment is doing about it, and why people are doing nothing about it. Its something we all want answers for'.
She admits that as a woman she too is worried for her safety, and her niece Samaira's.
'I'm a woman and as a woman - I want to know why no one is doing something about it. Karisma has a daughter who is going to school. We also worry about her, because in every single newspaper there is some incident like this. Yes Its happened in Mumbai this time, but we have to do something for our whole country about this.'
