Only one word to describe him- JABRA! Yes, we are talking about birthday boy Shah Rukh Khan who celebrates his 53rd birthday today and we just can't keep calm. His charm, star power and entertainment quotient have reached altogether to a different level with each passing year. He is not just an actor who you like seeing on screen, but he is absolutely a crazy man who knows how to win hearts of his fans when it comes to wit, charm, talent and charisma. A fantastic actor, a successful producer and being a complete family man, SRK gives us millions of reasons to love him.

Today we’re celebrating Bollywood’s King Khan’s birthday, and we all know how much his fans and the celebs from the industry love him. How humble he is and how funny his sense of humour is, we cannot count the things we love about him. Talking about his filmography from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to Jab Tak Hai Jaan, SRK has set a romantic hero image. His portrayal of Raj and Rahul only proved that nobody better than him can play the lover boy role on screen. But time and again, he has always proved that there is more to him than being a romantic hero.

On his birthday, let's revisit the roles that Shah Rukh Khan played on the big screen that broke his chocolate boy image.

Raees:

In Raees, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a bootlegger being chased by a cop, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The superstar surprised everyone in a role with grey shades in Raees.

My Name Is Khan:

In My Name Is Khan, King Khan played the role of Rizwan Khan who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome. The only man who could have done justice to this one of a kind character on the big screen was Shah Rukh Khan.

Swades:

The critically acclaimed film, Swades is one of the best films of SRK's career. The critically acclaimed movie won two National Awards.

Chak De! India:

Chak De! India was another such film that one can watch it 'N' number of times. His role as coach Kabir Khan was possibly his best role ever, and he made us feel his powerful presence every time he appeared on the big screen.

Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011):

Widely known as 'King Of Romance' but he took us all by surprise with his performance in 'Don'. His performance as evil Don is our one of the favourites

Asoka (2001):

Not a great film of his career, but SRK took a great risk to try something very unique and never played before role as the legendary king who is changed by the Kalinga war.  The film failed at the Box Office but it was a role which perfectly suited to Khan's intense dramatic style. Don't you think?

Baazigar (1993):

To people who don't know, Shah Rukh Khan has essayed negative roles in Darr, Baazigar and Anjam even before the romantic Raj surfaced. SRK delivered his first blockbuster (BAAZIGAR) with a grey shade role.

Here's wishing King Khan a very Happy Birthday!
