Much more than that, it has given a depth and emotional values about human nature. There's not a single Hirani movie which does not make us laugh and cry at the same time. In the 15 years, with just five films, Rajkumar has created a mark in the industry which is definitely not replaceable.
Today, on the occasion of Rajkumar's birthday, let's take a look at the best scenes from each of his directorial:
Munna Bhai M.B.B.S: When Zaheer dies in the arms of Munna
This film got Sanjay Dutt back on track as an actor and he was considered much more than a macho man. One of the most touching scenes in the Indian Cinema is when Jimmy Sheirgill's character Zaheer dies in the arms of Munna aka Sanjay. The scene is high on emotions and it just leaves everyone numb. With this scene, it was shown that friendship is something which is beyond life.
Lage Raho Munna Bhai: When Victor loses all his father's money and finally comes clean on the advice of Munna.
This scene also has Jimmy in it, who plays the role of Victor an unemployed person, who loses his father's money in the share market but is scared to come clean to him. Upon Munna's insistence, Victor goes and talks to his dad in the most subtle way and makes him understand that he will do odd jobs and work honestly to get all the money back.
3 Idiots: When Farhan finally convinces his dad that he doesn't want to become an engineer and is born to be a photographer.
R Madhavan's character Farhan is dead scared of his dad and has never disobeyed him. He always wanted to become a wildlife photographer but could never share with his dad as he was hell-bent to see his son as an engineer. Finally, after losing a bet to Rancho (Aamir Khan), Farhan confronts his dad and tells him that he wants to give up engineering. The scene will leave you teary-eyed and will make you realise that even though it's tough, our parents understand our plight eventually.
PK: When PK proves that Sarfaraz didn't betray Jaggu
In the whole film, Jaggu (Anushka Sharma) believes that her boyfriend Sarfaraz (Sushant Singh Rajput), who is a Pakistani betrayed her and left her at the altar. But PK (Aamir) makes a point to let Jaggu not believe her eyes but understand the possible situation that he must have come across. Eventually, PK proves that 'Sarfaraz ne dhokha nahi diya' and that blind faith is not a good thing always.
Sanju: When Kamli tells Sanju not to give up and fight for his innocence till the end
In Sanju, he (Ranbir Kapoor) is seen getting excited to leave the jail in the 90s, but his bail plea is rejected which leaves him shattered. In the fit of anger, Sanju injures himself in the jail and lands on the hospital bed. His father Sunil Dutt (Paresh Rawal) couldn't handle himself seeing his son in this state and leaves the hospital in dismay. On the other hand, his friend Kamli (Vicky Kaushal) tells him, "You are a Tiger! Roar!" which means he shouldn't give up so easily.
