After welcoming her second child, a baby boy on September 5, 2018, Mira Rajput celebrates her birthday today. Read below to find out about Mira's life before she got married to Shahid Kapoor.
Star wives have their own popularity and even though they may not be in the movie business, their fanbase is just as strong as their famous better half's is. One such star wife is Mira Rajput, the gorgeous wife of Shahid Kapoor. While Shahid has had many high-profile relationships with actresses, it was Mira who finally got the eligible bachelor to settle down. The couple had an arranged marriage as they met through the religious group Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
Shahid and Mira got married in July 2015 and are blessed with two children - daughter Misha Kapoor who was born in August 2016 and a baby boy who was born recently on September 5, 2018. While we are now accustomed to Mira through various interviews which included the Koffee With Karan episode, you may not be aware of Mira's life before she became Mrs Kapoor. As today is the new mom's birthday, just two days after her son's birth, here's all you need to know about her life before marriage.
Mira is originally from Chhatarpur, Delhi and her hometown is in Punjab. Her father Vikramaditya Rajput is a businessman while her mother Bela Rajput is a homemaker. Mira has two sisters Priya Rajput Tulshan and Noorjehan Rajput Wadhwani with Mira being the middle sibling.

Mira was an English Honours student at Lady Shri Ram college and even bagged the 10th position in the Common Admission Test of English(CATE). Mira's close friends have termed the star wife as shy as well as intelligent. Even during the KWK episode, Mira had revealed that she was more prone to keep to herself. Mira is not very social media savvy and it was only recently that she joined Instagram.

Mira was initially a bit unsettled about marrying Shahid given their age difference of 12 years. Eventually, it was Mira's sister who convinced her and Mira said yes. The rest, as they say, is history.

Happy Birthday, Mira Rajput!
