The quintessential hero might be struggling to find his ground today, but as he turns a year older, we tell you why he will always be the Hero No 1 for us. For everyone who was born in the 90s, the action-comedy star is part of their childhood. Seeing him nail the pelvic step to his unique way of emoting, there is no qualm that the actor owned each frame he was in. 

Govinda Ahuja, who started off as an action hero in his initial movies like Ilzaam, Khudgaz, Sindoor among others, found his forte in comedy soon with Hero No 1, Haseena Maan Jayegi among others. His comic timing and camaraderie with everyone was one of the biggest highlights of his career. Who can forget Salman Khan and Govinda or Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan's onscreen bromance or for that matter Govinda and Sanjay Dutt in Ek Aur Ek 11. Govinda has been the king of comedy and dance among other titles. 

As he turned a year older today, we list down why he will always remain our Hero No 1.

1. Ain't no dancer like him: Let's admit it, Bollywood dance for us is synonymous with Govinda. The actor gave us some epic dance numbers including UP Wala Thumka, Kisi Disco Mein Jaye, Meri Pant pe Sexy. These songs and their hook steps combined with those raunchy expressions can make any dull party bright. A true blue Bollywood fan (like us) will agree to this!

2. Unconventional style: While other contemporaries were busy working on their body for female attention, Govinda's unconventional look and style were always a talking point. His red pants and yellow t-shirts or high waist pants with floral print shirts dazzled on the screens. While these colours usually might make anyone go blind, Govinda carried it off with such finesse which only he can, btw. 

3. Comedy: There is no denying that Govinda is a wholesome package. Dance: Check. Acting: Check, Style: Check. Comedy? Hell, yes! The comedy king tickled our funny bones with his antics like no one else. His movies can bring a smile on your face even today? Want to bet? 

4. Wholesome entertainer: Govinda has been the undisputed wholesome entertainer of all times. The actor though kept a low profile personally was a riot onscreen. Whatever he did became a style statement!
