Known as the 'Tragedy King of Bollywood', the aura that Dilip Kumar is surrounded with, has been unmatchable. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors, Indian Film Industry has ever been bestowed with and we love him for his immense contribution, passion, and love to the Hindi Cinema.

As this legendary actor celebrates his 95th birthday today, we decided to throw some light on some of his lesser-known facts that further prove why we can never have another Dilip Kumar in Bollywood. Check'em out :

1: His real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan. Devika Rani (Popular actress from Bombay Talkies) gave him his screen name - Dilip Kumar. Uday Kumar and Vaaman Kumar were the other two names that were also considered for the actor before finalizing the third one.

2: Dilip Kumar is the first and foremost actor in Bollywood who hails from Pakistan. He also became the first superstar who had successfully bagged the trophy for the Best Actor in Filmfare Awards.

3: Before acting happened, Dilip Kumar used to sell fruits in Pune.

4: He got his first break in the movie Jwar Bhata on the recommendation of iconic star - Ashok Kumar who became his mentor in the initial days.

5: Dilip Kumar had once refused to work opposite Saira Banu. As fate would have it - He ended up marrying her in 1966 at the age of 44. Saira Banu was just 22 then.

6: Dilip Kumar further married a Hyderabadi girl, ‘Asma' in 1980. But the marriage didn’t last long. Speaking about this in his autobiography- The Substance and the Shadow; the legendary actor had mentioned how it was a grave mistake which he would like to forget.

7: Touted to be a perfectionist, Dilip Kumar had even learned Sitaar for a song sequence from the movie-Kohinoor; 'Madhuban Mein Radhika Naache Re'.

8: Dilip Kumar loves cricket. As per an interview with late Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi (Captain of Indian cricket team), Dilip Kumar had once hit 'six' on a very well known bowler's ball during one of the charity functions in his era.

9: Contrary to his onscreen image which had always portrayed him as a serious actor, Dilip Kumar, in his real-life is very fun loving and can make people laugh for hours.

10: Not just movies, Dilip Kumar is unbeatable at the game of Antakshari too (as told by wife Saira Banu).
