FRIDAY RELEASES: Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero to clash with Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister & Yash’s KGF

Friday brings in new hope and entertainment for the cine-goers. Every week, the movie buffs look forward to new releases which they can watch and enjoy. This week too, the cine-goers are in for a treat in the form of three different movies from totally diverse genres. On Friday, we will get to see Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero clashing with Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister and Yash’s KGF. The three movies have been making headlines right from the time they hit the floors. The three movies will be releasing 4 days ahead of Christmas which is surely a festive time and might get some benefit of the same. Let’s take a look at each of them.

First up, we have Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharmastarrer Zero. Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is the story of a small town guy, Bauua Singh, from Meerut who is a dwarf. However, his small stature does not stop him from dreaming big. In the course of achieving his dreams, he meets two women, Aafia and Babita. Aafia is a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy while Babita is a superstar. His life goes through a series of events post this. This is what Zero is all about.

The trailer of the film caused a massive stir and the songs like Mere Naam Tu, Husn Parcham and Issaqbaazi are already topping charts. The film will also have cameos by Salman Khan and late actress Sridevi. The actors have been aggressively promoting the film and are hopeful that it is liked by the audience. 

Next, we have The Accidental Prime Minister starring Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert and Aahana Kumra in the lead roles. The movie is biographical political drama which is based on the book by Sanjaya Baru. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, the film is about Manmohan Singh and his tenure as the Prime Minister of India. The first look of the film was shared by Anupam Kher on his Twitter handle and the final shot of the film showed his stark resemblance with the former PM, Manmohan Singh.

Akshaye Khanna will be seen as the writer Sanjaya Baru while Suzanne will be seen as Sonia Gandhi. The movie’s first look surely impressed the movie buffs and the fans can’t wait to catch the whole movie this Friday.

And lastly, the Kannada superstar, Yash will be seen in the action-period drama, KGF: Chapter 1 which will also clash with Zero and The Accidental Prime Minister. The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by VijayKiragandur. Yash aka Naveen Kumar Gowda will be seen playing the lead along with Srinidhi Shetty. Set in the ’70s, the movie portrays the times when people were oppressed and Yash will be seen fighting against the odds. Slowly and steadily he makes a mark for himself in the world of crime. The trailer of the film came out last month and left everyone impressed with the first look of Yash as Rocky.  

The Hindi version of the movie also has a song sequence by Mouni Roy called ‘ Gali Gali’. KGF will be a two-part film series and the first part is being touted as the most expensive film ever made in Kannada Cinema.
