Ek Tha Tiger Director Kabir Khan: Katrina Is Bollywood's Fourth Khan
Ek Tha Tiger man, Kabir Khan, may be very happy with the films' success but is not satisfied yet. In a long and rambling interview, he opened up on how he determined Salman's persona in the movie, his five fights a day with Salman for ETT, and Katrina's position in the industry today.
Talking to Filmfare about Katrina, Kabir said, "Katrina is one of my closest friends. I'm very fond of her. Some like her and some believe she's not a good actor. The way she works is unbelievable. I've never seen anyone in this industry work so hard. It's an endearing quality."
He was quick to point out that he will not cast her in his movies unless she fits the character he has in mind.
Praising her commitment in the action sequences, he said, "Not many actresses would've been able to do the kind of action she pulled off in ETT."
About her stature, he could not help avoid hyperboles. He said, "She's the fourth Khan of this industry. She's unbelievably popular. Every single hero she works with has had the biggest opening with her."
He described his next venture as a larger-than-life love story that is close to his heart. He said he had written the story even before Kabul Express and was waiting for the right time to convert it into a movie.
