TAIMUR ALI KHAN; When Karan Johar first revealed Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's son's name on social media, Twitterati went on an uproar. Many started bashing the new parents for choosing a name that seemed similar to the Persian emperor Timur, who killed thousands in his wake.

However, with time, chubby cheeks and those curious eyes, Taimur managed to win hearts slowly slowly and before we knew it, the chote nawab became the most loved star kid in town!

Born on December 20, 2016, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan welcomed an adorable baby boy Taimur Ali Khan. Within hours of his birth, he became the trending topic.

Unlike many couples who tend to shy away from revealing the first look of their newborn, Saif and Kareena were seen taking baby Taimur home and even waved at the paparazzi like British royalty do.

Eventually, it wasn't long before pictures of the handsome munchkin surfaced on the net. While people still questioned his name, no one could deny Taimur's cuteness.

"Taimur is always chilled out. He is so gorgeous. The only thing he doesn’t like about me is that I kiss him about 20,000 times a day. And he (Taimur) keeps pushing me off. Saif says why are you doing this. But I always feel like hugging him," Kareena perfectly described how all of us started feeling about Taimur as the months went by.

From leaked pictures, we moved on to photos which were paparazzi oriented as both Kareena and Saif started making public appearances with Taimur in tow. The moment everyone fell in love with Taimur was when Kareena made him wave at the paparazzi as he sat on his mom's lap.

"For me, it was not about superstition, it was about safety. The paparazzi culture is getting really bad. They are always outside our home. But it isn’t as bad as it is abroad. It will only get there for sure. They will get the picture anyway sooner or later. The more you hide, the more aggressive they will get. I wanted to avoid that push and shove. It’s better to give them that pic. I told Bebo to hold his hand and make him wave to the photographers. Also, I feel, why should Taimur be treated any different from other children out there. People put up their baby pictures," Saif stated on why they didn't hide Taimur from the watchful eyes of the paparazzi.

Then came the airport pictures, the Gstaad trip, the playdate pictures and so forth, and we fell irrevocably in love with Taimur. Even now, one picture of Taimur and everyone starts cooing and watching him in endearment.

Today, as Taimur celebrates his first birthday, the one-year-old showed us how a baby could reverse someone's opinion, just like that! As they say, What's in a Name?
