Best Actors of 2018: Ranbir Kapoor to Ranveer Singh to Ayushmann Khurrana, stars who were class apart
As 2018 is nearing its end, let's take a look at the Best Actors of 2018, who gave performances that were pathbreaking and unforgettable this year. Check it out.
Only a couple of days left for 2018 to end and it has been an incredible year for Bollywood. From biopics, period films to content-driven flicks, filmmakers explored almost all genres in this one year and it indeed created wonders at the box office. This year was definitely not the year of Khans, but reigning superstars and talented actors gave the performance of their lifetime which will definitely go down in the history of the Indian Cinema. Let's take a look at the Best Actors of 2018, in detail below:
Ayushmann Khurrana
From last year, Ayushmann has been entertaining the audience by selecting movies which are unconventional and interesting. This year, we saw Ayushmann in two movies which released back to back - Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. In Andhadhun, the talented actor played the role of a blind (was he?) pianist and it was a treat to watch a retro style murder mystery on the big screen after a very long time. Whereas in Badhaai Ho, he was seen as a son, who was finding it difficult to accept the fact that his middle-aged parents are all set to become parents once again. In both the movies, Ayushmann stood out in spite starring alongside prolific actors and did an incredible job.
Gajraj Rao
Gajraj Rao owned Badhaai Ho with his simple yet impactful role. In the movie, he showed that you don't need to be a leading hero to create an impact among the audience. He proved that it's the character that's important and how to do it in the subtlest way.
Rajkummar Rao
This man has arrived and how! In 2018, Rajkummar had five movies namely Omerta, Fanney Khan, Stree, Love Sonia and 5 Weddings. The talented actor gave a variation of roles and stood out in each one of them. In Stree, he played the role of a sweet, innocent tailor, who is not sure of the fact whether he is in love with a mysterious woman or a ghost. In Omerta, he was seen as the sadist terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and it looked too real on the big screen.
Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir had only one movie this year, Sanju and it put him back in the game. RK played the role of Sanjay Dutt in this biopic and he convinced us that he is not Ranbir on the big screen. From the macho look to the mannerisms, Ranbir nailed it to the T.
Ranveer Singh
At the start of 2018, Ranveer gave us something, which we dreaded to watch on the big screen. He was seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat and people loved to hate him on the big screen. The actor proved that even anti-hero can be played on the big screen and it will leave an impressive mark on the people.
Varun Dhawan
He is one of those actors, who didn't give a flop in his career of six years *touchwood*. This year, Varun was seen as Dan in Shoojit Sircar's October and there was rarely any sequence when his character did not leave us teary-eyed throughout the film. Varun was also seen as an adorable tailor named Mauji in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India and people enjoyed watching him thoroughly.
Vicky Kaushal
From Raazi, Sanju to Manmarziyaan, what a transition of Vicky on the big screen! In Raazi, the talented actor was seen as Sehmat's (Alia Bhatt) husband named Iqbal Syed. Though the movie was "women-centric", Vicky shined in this important role. Then, we saw him as a best friend, we all need in our life in Sanju. The actor played Kamli, the BFF of Sanju, who stood through his thick and thin like every friend should!
