Bal Thackeray's biopic which is titled as Thackeray is in the news right now as the first trailer of the movie is out. The Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer is based on the life of Bal Thackeray aka Balasaheb Thackeray (Founder of the political party, Shiv Sena). He was not only controversial but also influential and we have to say that Nawazuddin totally nailed the persona of Bal Thackeray.
Talking about the trailer, it follows the life of Bal Thackeray and his rise in the political circuit. Nawazuddin has done many real-life characters in a span of just few years. For the unversed, he earlier played Dashrath Manjhi in Manjhi - The Mountain Man. Later, he did a role of Saadat Hasan Manto in Manto, and now, Balasaheb Thackeray in Thackeray. 1. In this particular scene, we have to say that Siddiqui stands out as Balasaheb Thackeray on screen.
2. The famous politician used to wear a beaded neckpiece, orange-hued kurta and sunglasses. In this scene, Nawaz pulled off his look perfectly.
3. Nawaz caught the exact mannerisms of Bal Thackeray. His avatar, as well as demeanour, was totally on point in this scene.

The movie is slated to release on January 25 next year, two days after the birth anniversary of late Bal Thackeray. It will face stiff competition from movies such as Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India and Hrithik Roshan's Super 30. The film is directed by Abhijit Panse, and Amrita Rao is making her comeback after a long time.
